The Wales international was forced off during the home victory over Sheffield United at the weekend amid concerns he had suffered a recurrence of the cruciate knee ligament problem that sidelined him for almost a year.
However, tests have revealed no serious damage and Ribeiro could be fit to face Nottingham Forest on Saturday.
"He has seen a specialist this week and been given the all clear," City boss Keith Millen told the club`s official website.
"He just jarred his knee when landing and should be fine for the weekend."
