The defender picked up the injury in a challenge with Derby County's Claude Davis during the 1-1 draw at Aston Gate and will be out for six weeks following an operation today.
Club physio Nick Dawes told the official website: "The scans revealed that Jamie has fractured his cheekbone in three places and will definately be out for up to six weeks."
The club have also announced that Christian Ribero is now in rehabilitation after undergoing surgery on his injured knee.
