Is Joe Keith a Goodfellow?

Joe Keith has been signed on loan for a month but it would appear that Tinnion has a view to making the signing permanent in the knowledge that Keith is out of contract in the summer. Marc Goodfellow is not one of Tinnions favourites and it could be that a permanent swap is on the cards should the loan be successful.

So what do we know of Joe Keith?
A former West Ham Trainee he signed for Colchester for free in 1999. He has since played over 200 games for the U's scoring 28 goals in that time. He is a left sided midfield player, a free kick specialist and has been known to take penalties. His four goals this season have come against Sheff Wednesday, Tranmere, Hartlepool and Doncaster, perhaps a big game player, a player with a bit of bottle? He was kept out of the Colchester side while Rowan Vine was on loan from Pompey. He has played 38 games this season but has been out of the side through injury recently. He is known to be very left footed. Colchester fans feel that he has been played out of position.

City trial Alan Morgan
City are also giving a trial to 21 year old Blackburn Rovers winger Alan Morgan who will be released by Blackburn at the end of the season. He is recovering from a hamstring injury but got through 90 minutes of Citys reserve fixture against Bournemouth on Tuesday and will play again on Monday.
