James set for Robins bow

David James is set to make his debut against Millwall for a Bristol City side heading into the new season depleted by injuries. The England goalkeeper made the surprise move to Ashton Gate last week and will be new manager Steve Coppell`s number one ahead of Stephen Henderson and Dean Gerken. However, fellow new signings Nicky Hunt and Kalifa Cisse head a list of eight absentees. Right-back Hunt (ankle) and midfielder Cisse (thigh) start the new campaign on the sidelines along with defenders Louis Carey (heel), Lewin Nyatanga (knee), Christian Ribeiro (back) and James Wilson and strikers Danny Haynes (groin and thigh) and Nicky Maynard (knee). Two new summer arrivals who are fit to be included are defender Damion Stewart and forward Albert Adomah. Striker Sam Vokes, who joined City on loan on Thursday, and left-back Tom Williams, who accepted the club`s offer of a six-month contract the same day, go straight into the squad.
