PREPARING for his side's game with Queens Park Rangers tomorrow, Gary Johnson seemed in confident mood that his side will improve from Tuesday's defeat to Crewe.

The City boss said he has been impressed by what he has seen from Rangers this season and after a summer of change the West Londoners will be a much different proposition to last season.

QPR had an impressive win in their midweek Carling Cup tie while the home side lost at League One Crewe, however the City manager is confident that his side can get three points. He told the BBC: "QPR have some good players. In possession they are very good - especially three or four of the foreign lads - but we are a good team in possession too."

City are still unbeaten in the Championship going into Saturday's game and coming off the back of a great performance against Coventry last weekend, City will be full of confidence. Their last home league game was against Derby, a 1-1 draw back at the beginning of the month and Johnson told the media he expects his side to improve signficantly from that. He urged his team to take heart from last week's performance saying: "We'll want to wrestle it off them and create more opportunities than we did at Crewe."
