Johnson confident City will be 'on the spot' if required

BRISTOL City manager Gary Johnson has said this afternoon that the club's new penalty taker has nothing to fear should he be required to step up tomorrow.

Michael McIndoe was cast as the character if villain last week as he missed an injury time spot-kick against Nottingham Forest. The Scottish striker was trying to make it second time lucky after missing the week before against Southampton, and as Gary John revealed last weekend, McIndoe will not be 'put on the spot' this weekend should City win a penalty.

Johnson told the official website,

"We will know who will take the penalties as we run out there (at Selhurst Park)."

"It would be too much pressure for Michael to try and score on a third attempt. Perhaps we would give him one for his confidence if we are four or five-nil up.

"We've got a few good strikers of the ball and a few that are bold enough to step up to the plate, as Macca did. They stand or fall by putting the ball in the back of the net or not."
