"Supporters efforts tug at my heart strings"
IN a week when his side are without a game due to the internation break, Gary Johnson has taken some time to reflect on the way his side have performed in their opening four Championship games.

On the eve of the season the City boss decided that the number 12 shirt should be dedicated supporters, and although his side have not managed to win a game in front of their home fans, he believes that the City fans are fully behind what his team are doing - something is delighted about.

Johnson spoke to the media after club membership figures topped the 2,000 mark and this on the back of record season card sales of around 13,500.

The City boss thanked the supporters from their backing and promised when he 'gets his player's back' they will be doing everything they can to repay the supporters faith. He told the official website: "It shows great faith from out supporters in the club; the chaiman, the manager and players. It certainly pulls on you heart strings when fans hand over hard-earned case and in return we want to entertain them.

"All you can do is try and succeed playing the right away and I think over the last few years the fans have enjoyed our brand of football. We really appreciate their support and will continue to do so."
