Johnson focussed on three points

BRISTOL City manager Gary Johnson is well aware of the task his side faces tomorrow.

The Robins travel to Selhurst Park looking to continue a good run of form away from home which most recently saw them win at Southampton and has been a major factor in pushing them back up inside the top ten after a brief October stumble.

We've had a few great games with Crystal Palace over the years and we have to be ready right from the first tackle to the last," Johnson told the official website.

Although the City manager has refused to be drawn into any mind games off the pitch with Neil Warnock, the Robins boss has spoken of the 'revenge-factor' which he feels the Eagles manager may be putting across to his side,

"Revenge will be in their hearts after what happened in the play-offs at the end of last season and I'm sure Neil will mention that to his boys at five to three before they go out.

"We've got to be ready for that and make sure we see the points as being very important to us, not just that we want to beat Crystal Palace again.

"We have eleven opposition players in front of us and we have to be better than them and score more goals than them. It's the three points at the end of the day that is all important."

Johnson also discussed former player Nick Carle who may face his old side tomorrow and the City boss feels it may be an advantage to his side if he plays,

"I know Nick hasn't started their last three games, but who knows Neil may just throw him in against his former club.

"I think Nick will play at some stage but we'll have to wait and see. We know his strengths and we know his weaknesses too."
