Will this place be full tonight to see a City win?
AHEAD of tonight's game with Bristol City, manager Gary Johnson has told supporters that he expects a 'great' game to be played in a 'wonderful' atmosphere at Ashton Gate as his side entertain Birmingham City.

Relegated from the Premiership last season, Birmingham are still unbeaten with five wins and a draw and are notable favourites to make a return to the top-flight at the first time of asking.

Bristol City are looking to leapfrog the midlands side with a win tonight and Gary Johnson is expecting a special atmosphere and a full house in the West Country tonight. He told Bristol City World: "When the fixture list came out this is one of the first fixtures I looked for.

"It's always a theatre-type atmosphere at Ashton Gate for night matches under floodlights and I really enjoy the evening games."

City are yet to win a home match having drawn with QPR and Derby in their previous fixtures but Johnson said: "It's going to be a big crowd and we always create a wonderful atmosphere on night matches.

"It's a little bit more special and the players seem to respond to that. They'll need to respond against Birmingham tonight because it's going to be an important game.

Although he goes into the game looking for a win the City boss admitted he would not be 'devestated' by defeat,

"A defeat would leave us seven points behind them, which would leave us 40 games to pull that gap back!

"In the Championship there aren't any games that offer an easy three points and although it's hard to put a good run together sometimes we won't fret over it if the wrong result happens."
