Johnson looking to increase postives

BRISTOL City manager has called for his team and supporters to stick together through what are proving to be difficult times.

City have failed to win in three games and last time out were humbled by Sheffield United. The international break has prevented the Robins from getting back on the pitch and more importantly getting their playoff challenge back on track,

"We all get disappointed when we get beaten," said Johnson,

"All teams are a bit like that and I felt our club was a bit like it too. We had two difficult away games at Wolves and Sheffield United, and a home game against an in-form Plymouth."

Johnson urged his time to look at the recent example of the national team of how to improve their public perception,

"Look at England and their situation. It was all doom and gloom, with fans booing their own players, and now all of a sudden we're the best team in the world."

Gary's side sit in 13th place, way off Birmingham in first and further than the teams in the top six he'd like to be amongst. This weekend in a must-win against Norwich at Ashton Gate he hopes his side's fortunes can improve and said that everyone needs to keep believing,

"We never quite got into our game and sometimes you have to say well done to the opposition. It is after 46 games (that counts) and we want the doom and gloom merchants to give us a bit more time.

"I think there are a lot more people who are positive judging by the letters I've received, as opposed to the people we hear back through the media saying we're not going very well. We're in the Championship, it's only ten games and we have to stay faithful in the team and the players we've got here."
