BRISTOL City manager Gary Johnson told the media after the clubs 1-0 win against Blackpool that he was delighted his side got 'the perfect result'.

City has gone into the game as slight favourites but 'pool made things very difficult for the away side and Johnson admitted that his team had not 'played to their full potential' despite Steve Brooker's late winner,

"It was a perfect result and scoring in the 90th minute is the best time to score."

Johnson told supporters yesterday that he would be very happy if his team came away with a 1-0 win and the manager got his wish, he told the official website: "Blackpool at home always represent good opposition and we had to work very hard, throwing ourselves in front of things. A team at home is always going to chuck everything at you. They were out to impress the crowd."

The City manager was delighted with the way his team performed throughout the match, he said: "We hung on in there and I needed to change the mentality a bit at half-time. It livened us up a bit and got us into the other half."
