SATISFIED after watching his side get a point against Derby County in their first home game of the season, Bristol City manager Gary Johnson confirmed that he will spend some time this week searching for a defender to add to his squad.

Jamie McCombe suffered a suspected broken cheekbone in the 1-1 draw at Aston Gate and in the last week has been robbed of Christian Ribero and Liam Fontaine. After the game Johnson told Bristol City World: "It's a sad situation when you see one of your players injured like that and when it's a broken boke, as it seems, it's normally six weeks. Liam should be back on Monday but we probably have to enter the market to ensure we've got numbers."

Johnson told the media that he felt conceeding the equaliser against Derby may have been due to his sides lack of defensive options. He said: "The goal was a comedy of errors and we let them back into it in the second half. We're short in terms of experience centre backs."
