Johnson still on the lookout for City's 'Mr right'

PREPARING for his team's game with QPR this weekend, City boss Gary Johnson admits that he is 'happy' with his current squad and will only change things for the 'right' reasons.

In a blog on the BBC website, Johnson described the window as a 'hinderence' but said that he will keep his phone on 'just incase' a player he needs becomes available. The window is set to close in four days for clubs in the English league and although he says he gets 'plenty of offers', will not use Tuesday's defeat as an excuse to make wholesale changes to his squad as they push for promotion once again.

He told the Bristol Evening Post: "People like you to talk about transfers but sometimes you have to get behind what you have. Their the ones who have got us here and there the ones who have got us very disappointed in getting beat at Crewe."

He followed up his comments by saying: "Despite that, they are the ones who will be very happy with the way we played at Coventry and that's the standards we are looking to achieve.

"As a manager you've got to keep a bit of a level head. Try and work things when you've lost and try and encourage when you've won."
