The 2 - 0 over Yeovil on the weekend was a joyous occasion for the Johnsons.

Dad gary saw his Bristol City side edge closer to promtion with a 2 - 0 win over his former club.

To make it a family occasion so Lee scored City's opener.

"I'm delighted for Lee. He popped up just where we wanted him to be, and you could tell how much the goal meant to him," said Gary.

"We haven't often reached our best in the final run-in to the end of the season, but we were close to it. We created a lot of chances and passed the ball as we like to do.

"David Noble is very good on the ball and we thought having him supporting our frontman Enoch Showunmi from midfield might cause Yeovil problems. He could only manage an hour because he hasn't played much recently, but in that time he did an important job."

Yeovil boss Russell Slade admitted City's formation had caught his side out in a one-sided first half, but felt they were getting back into the game when the penalty settled the outcome.

"I thought Scott Guyett just got to the ball first, so to have him sent off as well as conceding a penalty was hard to take," he said.

"We had started the second half well and I thought we were right back in the game when the penalty decision was given. If Mike Dean referees all City's remaining games, they should do very well!"
