Bristol City goalkeeper David James has had the red card he received in the 4-0 defeat by Middlesbrough overturned by the FA disciplinary panel. The England man was sent off in last Saturday's Championship clash at Ashton Gate after he was judged to have denied a clear goal-scoring opportunity.

But City appealed claiming that three other defenders were also in the area.

The panel agreed and overturned the one-match ban, allowing James to face Crystal Palace this Saturday.
