David Partridge, Steve Brooker and Bradley Orr were handed custodial sentences after pleading guilty for their part in a brawl outside Bristol city centre nightclub last October.
Wales international Partridge, who is on loan at League One rivals Leyton Orient, was handed a two-month sentence, while Brooker and Orr were both jailed for 28 days after sentencing on Friday.
Lansdown believes the sentences were 'harsh' and that they would review the situation in earnest.
"While we are in no way condoning the players' actions, we feel the sentences are harsh, particularly bearing in mind that it would seem the players were provoked and that their assailants have escaped prosecution," Lansdown told the club's official website.
"The players were disciplined by the club last October and one of the disappointing features of this case is that is has taken so long to be resolved.
"Management have taken steps since this date to ensure that incidents like this will not occur again in the future.
"The players themselves have decided not to appeal against the sentences, which is their decision alone, with the aim of putting this unsavoury episode behind them and get on with their careers.
"The board will meet to review each player's situation after taking suitable legal advice to decide what action, if any, should be taken against them."
