THE FA are today beginning an investigation into match-fixing allergations involving a game in the Championship this season.

The English association vowed to examine allergations sent to them by the Sunday Telegraph newspaper in which it notes that bookmakers reportedly detected 'massive movements' in bets in Asia during a Championship game this season.

Until the evidence has been substantiated and further investigations have been carried out the FA have refused to reveal the identity of the game other than the fact it was a game in this season's Championship.

A spokesman said: "We will consider any evidence brought to our attention."
