Lita for England!

Leroy has been drafted into the England U-21 squad for Tuesday nights friendly with Holland in Derby.

He replaces Darren Bent who reported injured today ruling him out of the squad and 20 goal Leroy Lita was considered a suitable replacement. Leroy has received criticism from some City fans for his overall team contribution but from what I have seen of him recently he is worthy of the call for his ability to score goals. Peter Taylor saw enough in Lita yesterday at Hull to include him in his plans for his part time role as England U21 manager.

The match will be screened live from Pride Park by Sky Sports, kicking off at 8pm. I hope Leroy gets a chance to show what he can do, but I fear that the bids will start coming in for him when the rest of the country witnesses it too.
