STRIKER Craig Mackail-Smith believes that his side can be proud fo have fight so hard against Bristol City despite an eventual loss to the Championship side.

The posh front man admitted he was 'not suprised' when Peterborough took the lead but was disappoined that his side could not cling onto their advantage. He told the clubs official website: "It was very disappointing because in the first half we pinned a very good Championship side back for long periods. In the second half I thought we let it slip a bit and the winning goal was our downfall as it came from a set piece."

"We have played Southend who came close to gaining promotion last year from League One and Bristol City who were extremely close to getting into the Premier League. Last night there wasn't much in the game. Teams at this level are a bit more clinical and that is the area of games we can improve in."
