"The dressing-room is very quiet, but I've tried to lift the lads because over the second half of the season they have been magnificent.

"While it is disappointing to miss out when so close to the play-offs, we have to remember we were bottom of the table in December."

Iffy Onuora

"We'll hit the ground running next season.

"I can't help feeling responsible, but I will bounce back and so will the players and the fans.

"Anyone who achieves anything in life also goes through disappointments and I am as committed to the job as I was when I first took it.

"The players gave me everything and we came so close to a winner in the closing stages. Right now I feel very down, but relegation is decided over a season and we can't afford to feel sorry for ourselves."
