Maynard looking to add consistency to ability

FULL of confidence after scoring his first goal in competetive action against Derby County last weekend, City striker Nicky Maynard believes consistency will allow him to be come a success for his new club.

The former Crewe striker had an excellent record for his former club but believes that a step up in quality will mean him needing to perform regularily and consistently. Maynard told the BBC he is confident that his 'tactical awareness' will bring him goals.

He said: "I base my game on being in the right place at the right time and predicting where the ball is going to be.

"There are not many people who score easy goals and I like to think of myself in that category."
