Maynard: "It was a dream come true"
NEW signing Nicky Maynard settled into his new club colours with a hat-trick in his first appearence for the club and described the game as 'dream come true'.

The striker moved from Crewe Alexander to City for £2.25m and is looking to make an immediate impression in his first season as Bristol look to gain promotion.

He told the official website,

"The goals are everything I'm about really, getting into the box and putting them away."

Gary Johnson will be delighted with the strikers contribition having admitted that he tracked the player for a long time but Maynard was quick to play down the move saying,

"I don't want the fans to be thinking about the price tag. Hopefully I've done enough and can kick on again from the Blackpool game."

"I'm delighted with how everything has gone from the moment I signed. I feel I'm at the right club now and hopefully they can get the best out of me, especially with the way they play their football."

"Saturday can't come quick enough now and hopefully I can help the team have a successful season"
