The defender will be sidelined after being caught in the face by the knee of Claude Davis after around 13 minutes of the game and Gary Johnson confirmed that McCombe will undergo surgery after suffering a fractured cheekbone. He said: "It's a blow for us and Jamie and it's likely that he'll be out for around six weeks."
Club physio Nick Dawes added: "Jamie will have surgery early next week after some of the swelling has gone down."
