McIndoe believes team spirit is the key

ON the scoresheet for the first time at the weekend, Michael McIndoe says the performance was exactly what his side needed to prove to people what last season was not beginners luck at this level.

The Scottish striker scored the crucial goal which eventually downed Palace in the playoffs last season and his happy that his side have started so well this time around - even more pleasing for McIndoe than goals is he excellent team spirit he feels the team posesses.

Ahead of the Carling Cup, Michael was in confident mood speaking to the press and hopes City can build on the 3-0 victory over Coventry. He told the Bristol Evening Post that the club have something 'money can't buy': "It's the atmosphere around the club, it's the team spirit. And that's, for me, what will grind us an extra 10-12 points a season."

He warned his team not to take their eye off the ball tonight against Crewe insisting that so called 'lesser' opponents should be treated in the same vain as Championship opponents,

"The Carling Cup is just as important for me. It's important we take that attitude into Tuesday night and go an turn Crewe over if we can.

"We're looking for progression. We're looking to prove we can push for the Premier League. That's what we're here for."
