McIndoe pleased with goalscoring form

AFTER helping his team win their first game of the season at home Michael McIndoe was delighted to get on the scoresheet - something which he has been trying to improve on.

McIndoe netted a vital goal in the play-off semi final against Crystal Palace last season, but before yesterday had only one goal of the season against Coventry to celebrate. On Friday the winger spoke about the 'inevitability' of scoring against his old team, his prediction proved to be correct as he netted two goals in a 4-1 win against Rovers at Ashton Gate yesterday.

For the Scotsman there was obviously bittersweet delight as his current side beat his former team, but McIndoe was delighted to get himself on the scoresheet and help Bristol City bounce back from defeat to Birmingham on Tuesday. He told the News of the World: "We have been threatening to score a few goals and it was good to get four against my old team.

"I said before the season I needed to get my name on the scoresheet more, so that goalscoring porridge certainly worked a treat."
