Bristol City have agreed a deal to sign Bournemouth striker Brett Pitman and are also closing in on the capture of Ipswich forward Jon Stead. Pitman, 22, has agreed personal terms with the Robins and is set to sign for an undisclosed fee on Monday, subject to a medical. The Jersey-born forward looked set to move to Premier League new-boys Blackpool earlier in the week but failed to agree a deal with the Seasiders after Bournemouth accepted a bid. Stead could also be confirmed as a City player on Monday, with manager Keith Millen telling his club's official website: "We hope to conclude a deal early next week." Millen added: "He's someone we've been looking to sign for a while and it looks like we are close now."
