PRESTON defender Callum Davidson has admitted that his North End side find it easier to play away from home.

North End are visited by Bristol City this weekend, and after a third sucessive away win, the home side are hoping to extend their record following a draw with Derby.

Although Davidson is not short of confidence that his side can claim a victory on Saturday, the former Scotland international admits that playing at home often overawes the players because the Deepdale crowd is so demanding. He told the Lancashire Evening Post,

"I just think that sometimes maybe when we play at home the fans are urging us to get the ball forward when sometimes we have got to keep it.

"Maybe away from home we are allowed to do that because they are not on our back.

"On Saturday, we were trying to keep the ball and they were on our back for trying to keep it. Maybe away from home it is a little bit more relaxing. We can do it without any stick coming from the crowd."
