Ribeiro relief for Bristol City

Bristol City defender Christian Ribeiro should be fit to face Nottingham Forest on Saturday despite being substituted in the win over Sheffield United. The 20-year-old came off during last Saturday's game amid fears of a recurrence of the cruciate knee injury which sidelined him for almost a year.

"He's seen a specialist this week and been given the all clear," said City boss Keith Millen.

"He just jarred his knee when landing and should be fine for Saturday."

There was less positive news for Bristol City captain Louis Carey as Millen confirmed he would not make the trip to Nottingham Forest.

"All the swelling has now gone down on his leg but that's now showing some damage to his calf muscle," he said.

"His comeback will be delayed and he will not make it back for this weekend."
