The England Under-21 international has been receiving treatment back at the Premier League club since suffering back and hamstring injuries before Christmas.
"Danny hasn`t required any injections or surgery, but they are being careful with him," City boss Keith Millen told the club`s official website.
"If they don`t treat it right then it might flare up again. He`s clearly got a problem and we have to be guided by our medical team and the Tottenham medical team.
"We are looking at a couple of weeks still. If it does flare up again then the worst-case scenario is surgery and we don`t want to have to go down that route."
