"I would expect Marcus to be looking at other options at the moment," Gary told www.bcfc.co.uk
"While he remains a Bristol City player we have to keep him in mind, but people know the situation and he knows it himself.
"I have brought Phil Jevons and Enoch Showunmi to the club and they will be given the chance to become Bristol City players.
"With those two players and Steve Brooker, we have a striking trio with goals in them and each one gives us something a bit different.
"I am very happy with my options up front now. If one is injured we will still have a potentially very potent attack."
