Tranmere press preview

The game comes just too soon for striker Calvin Zola, who has missed the last few weeks with a hamstring problem, while midfielder Danny Harrison (foot) is out for another three weeks.

Moore had worries over a number of his squad in the early part of the week but will have the players available that have recorded consecutive victories.

The Rovers boss does not think the jailing of three City players this week will make them any easier to play against and he said: "It would be wrong to think that just because three of their players are in the nick that it's a good time to play them.

"They'll miss (Steve) Brooker but Phil Jevons is massive at this level and to have Scott Murray on one wing and Scott Brown on the other, that's still some team.

"But we're at home so we'll be looking for the three points. We're three points behind Forest at the moment and if that's the same at the end of the season, we'll be fine."

Bristol City boss Gary Johnson is waiting to discover the extent of Enoch Showunmi's knee injury ahead of the clash.

Striker Showunmi is said to stand a "50-50 chance" of playing a part, but with Steve Brooker still out of contention, Johnson will be relying on Phil Jevons to provide the strike power.

Jevons insists he is keen to expel memories of his last visit to Prenton Park - Tranmere's 4-1 drubbing of Yeovil.

"It's not been a good hunting ground for me," said Jevons. "But we've won two games on the bounce and have been working really hard in training on our shape."
