United happy to settle for a point

WHILE Bristol City were rueing another oppertunity missed in front of the Ashton Gate faithful, Sheffield United seemed more than happy to take a point back to Yorkshire.

City were looking to avenge an embarassing 3-0 defeat at Bramall Lane just three weeks ago but couldn't find their way past Paddy Kenny who saved well from Lee Johnson in the second half and foiled Dele Adebola and Stern John to see his side get a share of the points late on.

Kevin Blackwell had described Bristol City as 'worried' by Sheffield United, but in a post match interview the club's assistant Sam Ellis admitted that City has made good chances and was 'happy' that United came away with a point,

"It was well contested and, while we dominated the first half, they showed great spirit in the second.

"Paddy Kenny has made a great double save for us early in the second half, but not better than the ones the Bristol keeper made right at the death."

Despite creating the better chances, he also felt that United gave as good as they got in attacking areas,

"We're not worried about our scoring record. Goals will come. When you don't get them you must keep a clean sheet."
