BRISTOL City's new loan signing Andy Webster is hoping he can get involved in the action straight away by making his first appearance for the club this weekend against Coventry.

The Scottish defender signed for City on Monday from Rangers on a five month loan deal and played for the club's reserves on Monday, a game, which he admits has given him a hunger to make his competetive debut as soon as possible.

Gary Johnson said he brought the player in to add experience and after comign through a 45 minute spell Webster told teamtalk.com: "I have trained throughout pre-season and felt fine. I know there is a difference between matches and training, and although I have to earn the right to player, the sooner I get involved the better."
