Bristol City have named Steve Wigley as their assistant manager following the appointment of Keith Millen as the new boss last week.The 48-year-old joins City on a one-year rolling contract.

Wigley had a brief spell as a Premier League manager with Southampton back in 2004 and more recently has helped out at Bolton and Hull.

The ex-winger has been assisting Stuart Pearce with the England Under-21s and will continue to do the role.
