BRISTOL City's young defender James Wilson has agreed to extend his loan deal at Brentford a further three months.

The centre back has been a regular with Brentford since his temporary loan period started in July and recently said that he would like to extend his deal further if at all possible.

After talks between Gary Johnson and the West London club, Wilson expressed his desire to stay with Brentford until January and the City boss accepted his request. He said: "James needs first team football.

"We've given him three months longer and we'll take a look at it again then."
