Iwelumo will not face Bristol City
TABLE topping Wolverhampton Wanderers will be without two of their key players when they face Bristol City at the weekend.

The West Midlands club appealed against the decision in which Iwelumo was dismissed from the field but had the challenge rejected by the Football League.

Wolves, seven games unbeaten in the Championship, will now have to face Bristol City without their top striker who netted a hat trick at the weekend and Welsh International Hennessey who has recently been linked with a move to Arsenal.

Mick McCarthy, who is also in danger of missing the game through suspension, said he was 'unhappy' at the league's decision for the sending off to be upheld.

Even with the support of defender Sean St Ledger who vouched for the Scottish striker during his appeal Iwelumo will miss three games for violent conduct.
