Brookers Bounce-Back Blighted By Back Bother

According to the BBC any hopes of a loan move have been scuppered by a fresh injury; this time to his back.

A seemingly exasperated Gary Johnson told BBC Radio Bristol: "He's got to be right before he goes out - for us and the club he may go to. It's all for the long-term future of Brooks at Bristol City because we want to see if his body can handle the rigours of first-team football."

This is the latest setback in a long battle against injury, but is hopefully just precautionary. There is nothing on the official site about it so far.

Meanwhile Louis Carey's return to action has been put back with a scan needed on his troublesome achilles tendon injury. Jamie McCombe and Michael McIndoe should be fully fit and available for selection on Saturday.
