Eager to bring the best youngsters in from around the world John Clayton has revealed he has formed a link with the striker currently oaching youngsters out in Virginia.
Sharpe's career was ended by a broken leg whilst as a player at Ashton Gate and in recent times has been working for Viriginia Beach Football Youth Club who have now made a link with the academy at Bristol City.
John Clayton told the official website,
"Gerry has been sending some good players over here and we plan to send some over to him.
"It's a good link up and works for both parties. It's nothing official but we're also looking at sending a coach out there as well."
