Coppell convince Royals can bounce back

STEVE Coppell believes that Reading can cope with the pressure of expectation as his side travel to Ashton Gate this weekend.

While this weekend's opponenents Bristol City were picking up a point against Sheffield United, Reading continued their away day blues losing 1-0 to Burnley at Turf Moor.

Although Reading had seemingly eliminated the poor form which saw them relegated from the Premiership and start slowly in the Championship this term, Coppell's worries returned as Reading were largely outplayed on Tuesday night.

Depite defeat Reading still sit in a promising position and face City this weekend with a chance to cement their place in the top six with over a quarter of the season gone.

Even though the Royals have taken just one point from the last six available Coppell remains confident his team can head to Bristol and pick up a much needed victory,

"If the goal would have been a couple of inches wider. it would have been a comfortable game for us the other night,"
said Coppell in an interview with teamtalk.com,

"In many ways I'd like to compliment my players but coming in with nothing from an away performance like that and the chances we had, we're all bitterly disappointed.

"If we continue to play and create as many chances as we did tonight then we'll be all right."
