Despite an injury which has kept him out of the last three City games, the defender has been called up and could play a part in the Tartan Army's friendly with Argentina on Wednesday 19th.
The defender was called up for the last series of qualifying matches against Norway in October but played no part in the game.
A club spokesman said,
"We're delighted for Jamie. He deserves his place and has been consistent at club level so we hope he gets a chance.
"Bristol City football club is proud to be able to have players called into international squads."
