The defender was taken off during City's midweek defeat by Crewe but Johnson may be able to recall Scotsman after a few days treatment and making a good recovery. He told the official website: "He has yet to train but we'll see how he is tomorrow hopefully.
"It (his injury) looked quite bad at the time because the blood came up in a bubble because of where he tape was and he certainly couldn't carry on but he's got much more of a chance than we thought he would have on Tuesday night."
