"He hasn't missed a game for two years and it's a real shock," Tinnion told the club's official website.
"He wasn't quite right to play against Doncaster in our first game of the season but seemed fine doing some running the day after.
"Then by Monday the knee had ballooned. I've had the same injury in the past. I was playing again within a month."
