Tinman: Everyone Starts Equal

Leroy Lita is less than convinced by the new gaffer. "I'm not sure how much the other lads read into squad numbers, but I know I wanted a good one and I am delighted with eight," he said, "I shall be doing everything possible to make sure I am out there when the Torquay game kicks-off."

What Tinnion says, though, means that all is not lost for players such as Tony Butler (No.12) and Christian Roberts (No.18) who, if good enough in pre-season training, will start the first game against Torquay. New boys Bradley Orr and Steven Gillespie will also hope to feature, as will the half dozen other youngsters newly advanced into the first team squad. News is still awaited on whether Louis Carey and Matty Hill will sign their contracts and take the No.2 and No.6 shirts respectively.

The full squad is as follows (although it is unlikely that the No.31 will be fit enough to play) and the manager says, "Even the No.11 will have to fight for his place. I'll be looking hard at his pre-season performances to see if he merits selection!"
