I can take being shit and losing...thats part of the game we all love. No problems with QPR or their fans either...three well taken goals.
What I cant take is the name of the City and club I love being tarnished by a bunch of absolute neanderthals who obviously cant handle a couple of pints of scrumpy.... I had stayed in a pub in White City until about 2:40pm because I was having a pint with a friend. What should have been a 10 minute stroll to the ground instead took 40 minutes.
A bunch of City had been attacking and fighting with locals on Shepherds Bush high street and we were all rounded up by a large amount of OB and escorted to the ground. OK it was stupid and uncalled for when most City fans were innocent bystanders, and the met police couldnt organise a p1ssup in a brewery... However, some dickheads saw it fit to use it as an excuse to shout abuse at a female police officer, try and charge free of the escort, causing people such as women and children to fall over, attack a police horse and nearly knock it over...and worst of all, shout racist abuse at a group of black youths playing football in a nearby park.
More animalistic behaviour followed with City fans trying to push through the turnstyles before I finally got into the ground. By this point it was nearly half time and we were 2-0 down.
In effect, my day was ruined by the behaviour of these brainless cowards. The police's tactics were overblown and only encited trouble but who can blame them...if you behave like animals, youll be caged up like animals.
I am so proud to be Bristolian and a City fan and I am utterly ashamed that we are represented by such neanderthals. All I wanted to do yesterday, was chill out, have a sing song and enjoy a game of football. You ruined it for me, and you ruined it for everyone else.
