Bristol City are set to welcome back on-loan striker Sam Vokes from Premier League side Wolverhampton Wanderers. The 20-year-old signed a five-month deal in August but tore his hamstring in the 3-0 home defeat by Millwall, his first appearance for the club.
"We'll have to assess his fitness on Thursday," said manager Keith Millen.
"Sam has been training with Wolves for a few weeks now. We're looking to schedule a reserve game for the end of the month and he'll be involved."
Millen continued: "Whilst he won't come back into the first-team fold immediately. It's great to have him back and bolstering our attacking line."
Bristol City are currently languishing at the bottom of the Championship having won just once in their opening 10 league games.
Despite making a double swoop for Bournemouth's Brett Pitman and Jon Stead from Ipswich in August, goal scoring is still proving to be difficult for Keith Millen's side.
They have found the back of the net just eight times this season and are clearly missing last season's top goal scorer Nicky Maynard who has yet to feature following knee surgery in the summer.
