Make no mistake, we were poor last night. Wycombe should have won. We improved in the second half but Wycombe were still a match for us.

The only highlight worth commenting on was the quality of Stephen Gillespie's contribution to the goal. He somehow managed to reach an overhit pass from Tommy Doc. He held the ball up before turning back towards our goal and then flicking a superb cross with the outside of his right foot onto the head of Lita who couldn't miss, well not this time.

Stephen Gillespie is a quality player and is ready for a start NOW. He has a hot head and was booked for following through very late in an innocuous part of the pitch. Totally unnecessary and he will be booked many times if he makes challenges like that.

I have no satisfaction in winning a game like we did last night. We were poor and if we play like that on Saturday Port Vale will murder us.
